"Thursday Night Throwback" Returns to Nashville's Hard Rock Cafe Honoring Industry Icon Billy Block During CRS Week February 26

 

February 10, 2015 - NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Returning to Nashville’s Hard Rock Café, the highly anticipated third annual “Thursday Night Throwdown” is set to take center stage following CRS festivities on February 26th, 2015 at 9p.m. Hosted by the Spin Doctors Music Group, this year’s free event is dedicated to music industry veteran Billy Block, who is battling stage IV cancer. A huge advocate for both independent and emerging artists, Block has been a longtime treasured and respected member of the Country music community. 

 

Featuring acoustic performances by acts such as Ten Mile Creek and Jeremy Staubus and full band performances by Iron Cowboy and Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves, the evening showcases the full diversity of Nashville’s Country music industry.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –The “Rockstars of Bluegrass” Dailey & Vincent are proud to announce the sell out of their inaugural Dailey & Vincent Water Fest cruise, setting sail this Valentine’s week, February 14-19

 

Departing from Fort Lauderdale, Fl., the five-night cruise on Royal Caribbean’s “Liberty of the Seas” ship includes day stops in Belize City, Belize and Cozumel, Mexico and features nightly performances hosted by the award-winning duo, along with other famed acts Don Rigsby and the Country music duo Wilson Fairchild.

 

The fun-filled memorable excursion will offer musical entertainment for all ages with nightly themes, including a romantic Valentine’s Day celebration with love songs, a patriotic President’s Day performance with “Songs of America,” an inspiring Gospel music night, a musical tribute to the legendary Statler Brothers and a “Bluegrass Karaoke” night of down-home fun, allowing guests to share their own musical talents.

 

Partnering with Springer Mountain Farms, Dailey & Vincent launched their Water Fest Sweepstakes in August, offering two fans passage on the debut cruise, which received over 220,000 entries. NPAC Presents: “Nashville on the Road” Songwriter Night Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 pm

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - “Nashville on the Road” comes to Niswonger Performing Arts Center on Saturday, April 11th at 7:30 pm with performances by hit songwriters Victoria Shaw, Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman, and Jim Photoglo.

 

Four of Nashville’s best songwriters come together on the NPAC stage to tell the stories behind some of Country music’s top hits. Collectively, this group of talented songwriters has written over 30 number one hits plus many others.

 

Throughout the evening the writers will give their own renditions of their hits, such as Victoria Shaw’s “The River,” recorded by Garth Brooks; Gary Burr’s “Nobody Wants to be Lonely,” recorded by Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera; Georgia Middleman’s “I’m In,” recorded by Keith Urban; and Jim Photoglo’s “Fishin In the Dark,” recorded by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. This special evening is sure to provide audiences with a true Nashville experience by giving the audience an exclusive behind the scenes look at how some of their favorite songs were crafted by the writers themselves.
