NASHVILLE, Tenn. - On Saturday, May 21, Boom Town Jam Music Festival in Ranger, Texas partnered with Western Wishes to grant a wish to Phillip Dunn, age 8, a child diagnosed with Mitochondiral Myopathy and Autism. Phillip got the chance to meet three-time world champion bull rider, Tuff Hedeman, as well as festival performers, Cody Canada of alternative-country band Cody Canada and the Departed and singer-songwriter Charlie Robison. Event sponsor, Twisted J Apparel, also gave Phillip a basket with t-shirts and gifts from the company. After meeting his heroes, Phillip was pulled on stage to help introduce Shane Smith and the Saints and passed a hat to collect donations. The festival was able to donate this money to Western Wishes. This was Phillip's first pay-it-forward experience with the organization.

 

The historial Lone Star Theatre Bar hosted Boom Town Jam for their grand opening after months of restoration and renovation. Performers at the festival included Cory Morrow, Cody Canada and the Departed, Sunny Sweeney, Bri Bagwell, and more. Charlie Robison played an All Access VIP performance following the festival.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The Society of Leaders in Development (SOLID) will host their 19th Annual Crawfish Boil on Tuesday, May 17 starting at 5:30 pm. The event will take place at the Sony/ATV parking lot on Music Row and will offer the community free food, free beer, and music. The organization will also provide activities such as a dunk tank, a photo booth, and corn hole.

 

Founded in 1997, SOLID's purpose is to provide its members with a community that promotes social networking, community service, and educational opportunities. The non-profit organization represents all facets and levels of the music industry while addressing the ever-changing challenges presented in today's industry. NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After months of restoration and renovation, The Lone Star Theatre Bar in Ranger, Texas is proud to announce its grand opening with the Boom Town Jam, a music festival presented by Lucky 13 Presents to take place Saturday, May 21 starting at 11a.m. This is an all age’s event. Originally built in 1920, current owner, Chad Cunningham, bought the abandoned structure in the heart of Ranger, Texas from the Ranger Historical Preservation Society in hopes to bring the historical building back to life and to its heydays of the 1920s. During rehabilitation of the building, an eager and enthusiastic Cunningham had hopes to create a place where music could bring people together.
 
“Live music will be a huge part of all of this,” said the new business owner. “Ideally, what I would like to do is have a festival here once a year out on the street or in the parking lot next door where we bring in an artist.”
 
That vision is being brought to life with the Boom Town Jam, which will close the street for entertainment that will include performances by Cory Morrow, Cody Canada and the Departed, Sunny Sweeney and more, with an indoor VIP All Access performance by Charlie Robison.
